Start a return
Contact info@thetechsquad.co.za within 48 hours of delivery if you want to request a voluntary return. Include your order number, the reason for the return and clear photographs of the product and packaging.
This 48-hour notification period applies to our voluntary return process and does not limit any non-excludable rights available under South African law.
Unwanted products
- The product must be unused, undamaged and unopened, with its original seals, accessories, manuals and packaging intact.
- Opened products are not accepted as unwanted-product returns. Opened products may be returned if they are faulty or where another statutory right applies.
- Approved voluntary returns are sent at the customer’s cost and risk. We recommend an insured, trackable courier service.
- Any lawful deduction for use, damage, missing items or necessary restoration will be explained before the refund is finalised.
Online cooling-off rights
Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, a consumer may cancel an eligible online purchase without reason within seven days after receiving the goods. The consumer may be charged only the direct cost of returning those goods.
Legal exclusions may apply, including to certain customised goods and unsealed software. These exclusions do not remove rights relating to defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods.
Faulty or incorrect products
Faulty, unsafe, defective, incorrectly supplied or materially misdescribed products are handled under the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable law. Valid statutory returns are not treated as ordinary change-of-mind returns.
After assessment, the available remedy may include repair, replacement or refund. Where the law places return risk and expense on The Tech Squad, we will arrange or reimburse the reasonable return method agreed with you.
Refund timing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where practical. Bank and card processing times are outside our control. Any statutory refund deadline continues to apply.
